A man has been arrested after his 11-year-old stepdaughter gave birth at home, with DNA tests revealing he was a "99.9% match" for the baby.

Stepdad Dustin Walker, 34, and mum Cherie Walker, 33, were lifted last week after the youngster gave birth on August 16, reports the Mirror.

Police said the pair were initially charged with felony child neglect after claiming they had no idea the girl was pregnant. The child had not seen a doctor in more than a year.

But on Monday the case escalated when DNA tests confirmed Walker as a "99.9% match" to the baby’s father.

He is accused of repeatedly sexually abusing the girl - who was 11 years old at the time - between January 1 and August 16, which led to her giving birth to his child.

The pair now face six counts of felony child neglect
