Former Massachusetts State Police Trooper Michael Proctor has a hearing Tuesday before the state Civil Service Commission as he seeks to get his job back following his firing in March.
Proctor was fired after an internal investigation, brought on by his testimony during Karen Read’s first trial, sustained allegations of misconduct, including derogatory text messages, sharing information with people outside the department and drinking alcohol on the job.
The hearing, which is being held in downtown Boston, is expected to last two days and will then be continued until October.
