Three men were arrested after a 'brawl' broke out in a city centre nightlife hotspot.

Officers were called out to reports of a disturbance at Stevenson Square, in the Northern Quarter , in the early hours of Monday morning (August 25).

Greater Manchester Police confirmed it attended the scene at around 3.45am.

A witness told the Manchester Evening News that 'multiple fights broke out' and 'spilled onto the street', in an area near to Hilton Street.

Around five police units were seen in attendance at the scene.

GMP says three men were arrested on suspicion of affray in connection with the incident.

All three men have since been bailed.
