BEEBE, Ark. – Officials with the Beebe School District shared on social media that an incident happened on campus late Monday night.

School district officials did not share the nature of the incident but confirmed that the suspect will not be on campus Tuesday morning. A spokesperson for the school said information won’t be released at this time since the incident involved a child.

Officials said school will still be in session and there will be an increased police presence.

“At this time, we want to assure you that the suspect will not be on campus. Out of an abundance of caution, there will be an increased police presence at our schools to ensure the continued safety of our students and staff,” the post read.
