BOISE, Idaho — For many, Labor Day marks the end of summer, with many folks hitting the road.

GasBuddy has forecasted gas pricing for this last stint of big summer travel. GasBuddy found that prices this Labor Day are set to be lower than in the past five years.

Gas prices are predicted to come in around $3.15 per gallon over Labor Day weekend, which is 14 cents lower than 2024 and the lowest price since 2020.

GasBuddy also highlights that several states may be getting the low Labor Day gas prices, but have seen an uptick in overall gas pricing due to localized refinery outages. However, relief is expected as cheaper, winter gas is being put back into rotation, potentially causing a dip in prices come mid-September.
