STRONGSVILLE, Ohio – The city has received a $778,380 Ohio Department of Development grant that will help pay for the extension of Foltz Industrial Parkway , an industrial street off the south side of Ohio 82 west of Prospect Road.
The money came from the state’s Roadwork Development Grant Program , which supports road improvements that potentially lead to economic development and business expansion.
The Foltz extension qualifies because it will make 40 or more acres of vacant industrial land accessible for new development.
In December, City Council agreed to pay Fechko Excavating LLC in Medina $4.3 million for the project, which involves lengthening Foltz by about 2,000 linear feet south toward Boston Road.
