Around the country, there are natural disasters that have reset the course of the areas they’ve affected.

In so many of those cases, the difference in the devastation was directly related to the preparedness of the area.

The Mississippi Insurance Department is holding a Disaster Leadership Conference in November to help prepare local leaders to know what they need to be thinking about in the case of a disaster.

The leadership conference will be held November 11-14 of this year, and gives leaders a chance to learn what tools they’ll need to be prepared to respond and recover quickly.
