SALT LAKE CITY — Two measles cases have been confirmed in Washington County by southern Utah health officials on Monday.
The South West Utah Public Health Department said in a news release that both cases are “school-aged” children.
These two cases bring Utah’s total to 13 measles cases in 2025, after the Utah Department of Health and Human Services said the count was at 11 on July 23.
In the news release, the health department said the schools affected notified parents via email.
One of the schools, Water Canyon High School, released the following statement:
We are writing to inform you that a case of measles has been identified at Water Canyon High School. You need to know that an individual who was present on school property during their potential infectious period.
