ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) — A woman who tried to crawl through a ceiling to escape police after getting arrested for violating court orders is getting sentenced for violating her probation again. Acasia Baca was placed back under the supervision of pretrial services in June.
According to court records, since then she has had more violations than face-to-face contacts with her PO. She was caught on a police bodycam hanging from the ceiling in August of 2023 while trying to escape custody at the hospital.
She was picked up for violating her probation in an armed robbery case for refusing to communicate with pretrial services, just like in her escape case. Baca is scheduled to be in front of judge Alisa Hart for a sentencing hearing this morning.
