ABINGDON, Ill. (KWQC) - Two people from Galesburg are facing robbery, battery and home invasion charges.
Knox County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at a home about a robbery in progress on Jared Street in Abingdon and found an injured man who was taken to a hospital for facial fractures and broken ribs on Monday night.
The sheriff said the person was assaulted and robbed inside his home.
Using witness statements, neighborhood and business security footage, deputies identified the suspects and the red vehicle in which the sheriff said they fled.
Anthony J. Williams, 48, and Mandy L. Bailey, 49, both of Galesburg, were arrested and charged and are in Knox County Jail.
Charges include:
Armed robbery
Home invasion
Aggravated battery – great bodily harm
Possession of a controlled substance
