SCOTT CO., Iowa (KWQC) - The man charged in the death of Trudy Appleby is fighting to stay in Iowa.
Jamison Fisher, 50, i ndicted earlier this month in the Appleby case in Henry County, is currently being held in the Scott County Jail in an unrelated drug case.
On Tuesday, he told a magistrate he did not want to waive extradition to Illinois, according to court documents.
According to court documents, the magistrate ordered that a warrant be issued committing Fisher to the custody of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office for 30 days to enable extradition through the governor’s office.
A hearing date on extradition has not yet been set as of Tuesday.
