The Pittsburgh Steelers are cutting offensive tackle Dylan Cook , according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Cook was released by the team this morning, meaning that offensive tackle Calvin Anderson is likely the swing tackle and his health is on the upswing.

Veteran Andrus Peat passed Cook on the depth chart after the team’s first preseason game, which could signal the multiple year starter has also made the roster.

Cook was entering his third season with the team. The Steelers have a lot they want to see from him, and Mike Tomlin would not crown him even after getting some first team reps at times in training camp.

Cook has yet to play in an NFL game, and his goal was to make the 53-man roster. He initially made the 53-man roster in 2023.
