The Eagles are waiving a former first-round draft pick they just traded for this offseason.

Offensive lineman Kenyon Green, who the Eagles acquired from the Texans in March, will be cut ahead of Tuesday’s 53-man roster deadline, according to multiple reports .

The Eagles acquired Green in the deal that sent safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson to Houston. But he just didn’t play well enough this summer to secure a spot on the 2025 roster.

Philly thought Green could be the next reclamation project for legendary offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland. Green was the No. 15 overall pick by the Texans in the 2022 NFL draft. The interior lineman was a standout at Texas A&M, earning All-American honors in 2020 and 2021.
