It felt a little chilly this morning heading over to head coach Marcus Freeman’s first weekly news conference of the regular season, and all I could think about was Saturdays in the fall.
But today, Freeman was actually talking about a Sunday in the summer. That’s because Notre Dame’s first game this season is on Sunday night on the road at Miami.
And for the third time in Freeman’s four season openers, the Irish open the year on the road at a top 25 opponent — this time at the No. 10 Hurricanes. In his first year, they lost to Ohio State . But last season they beat Texas A&M .
