The 167 th edition of the Paris Fair, a Labour Day tradition, kicks off Wednesday.

An annual staple marking the unofficial end of summer and a last hurrah for students embarking on a new school year, the fair is a five-day celebration of agriculture, community and entertainment.

“It’s really great family entertainment for a great price,” said Amy Warner, manager of the Paris Agricultural Society.

Everything, with the exception of the rides and food, said Warner, is included in the fair admission price. There are agricultural showcases, homecraft exhibits, a monster truck show on Thursday night, and demolition derbies on Friday and Labour Day Monday.
