ROCHESTER, Minn. — The Rochester Branch of the NAACP has expressed gratitude toward the City of Rochester Attorney's Office, following the announcement of charges filed in an April 28 hate incident at Roy Sutherland Playground. Three counts of disorderly conduct have been charged against Shiloh Hendrix, who allegedly directed racist and harmful actions toward a vulnerable Black child with a disability.

Dr. Walé Elegbede, President of the Rochester Branch of the NAACP, emphasized the importance of this step, saying, "No child should ever be subjected to racial terror." Elegbede highlighted the need for accountability and justice, reflecting the organization's commitment to confronting hate.
