DANDRIDGE, Tenn. (WATE) — A couple who depend on a water filtration system at their home paid over $2,000 for two units, but once installed, they leaked.
The contractor hired by Carmel and Michael Kornhaber has been cited by the state several times. This year, the Division of Water Resources sent four notices to the owner and operator of American Water Professionals out of Dandridge.
Michael Kornhaber is disgusted with the contractor who installed a heavy-duty drinking-water filtration system for a 40-gallon tank because it leaked. The Kornhabers get their water from a well. They live too far from the city connection, so their water has to be filtered to remove contaminants. The reverse osmosis filtration system was installed in their kitchen. Carmel Kornhaber had it removed.
