GRANBY, Mass (WWLP) - Red Fire Farm in Granby has been recognized for its exceptional organic tomatoes, winning first place at the Massachusetts Tomato Contest.

The farm, co-owned by Sarah Voiland, has been producing fresh produce for over 20 years and is renowned for its diverse selection of about 100 varieties of tomatoes. Despite challenges such as a lack of rain, the farm has maintained the quality of its produce through effective irrigation techniques.

"About 100 varieties of tomatoes, and our soil process is one of feeding the soil as much as possible," Voiland said. "So there's the micronutrients and a lot of organic matter in there. And we think that comes in the flavor of the tomatoes."
