AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) - The Amherst, Pelham, and Amherst-Pelham Regional Public Schools have released two new resources aimed at fostering stronger communication and collaboration between families and schools.

The Caregiver Guide to Resolving a School Concern and the Caregiver Code of Conduct were introduced this week and will be included in school handbooks beginning with the 2025–2026 academic year.

The Caregiver Guide, rooted in School Committee Policy KE, outlines step-by-step instructions for families on how to raise questions or concerns about their child’s education. It specifies who to contact first, how to proceed if an issue is not resolved, and provides timelines for response. The goal is to address matters respectfully and efficiently, starting as close to the classroom level
