MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — All 17 local players in NFL training camps have made their team’s final roster, including undrafted rookie Jamaal Pritchett from Jackson High School and the University of South Alabama.
NFL teams had to cut down to 53-man rosters on Tuesday afternoon.
Pritchett had four receptions for 54 yards in the New York Jets' final preseason.
The wide receiver has also been impressive on special teams and is likely the Jets' starting punt returner after returning nine punts for 103 yards in the preseason.
Two other local rookies also secured spots on NFL rosters.
Riley Leonard had a solid preseason finale and will be the Indianapolis Colts' third quarterback behind Joe Flacco and Anthony Richardson.
Leonard played at Fairhope before starring at Duke and Notre Dame.
