MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — After months of campaigning, election day is here, and WKRG is Your Local Election Headquarters.
Voter turnout in Mobile is down in some areas compared to the 2021 municipal elections, and some voters experienced confusion over where to vote and even whether they were eligible to vote.
At the Mobile Museum of Art, as of 4 p.m., more than 850 people had voted; however, election workers noted that over 9,000 people voted at that polling location in the 2021 municipal elections.
The workers said some people coming in have been confused about where they were supposed to vote, and some voters weren't supposed to vote at all.
Mobile City Clerk Lisa Lambert said one of the biggest issues faced today had been ineligible voters from the county trying to cast their vote in
