EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Road closures are no strangers to residents and business owners in Downtown Evansville. That's why city leaders are allowing them to ask questions and share concerns.
On Tuesday, the city held two neighborhood meetings at the Downtown Lic's.
Evansville City Engineer Michael Labitzke says, "I think it went well. A lot of good feedback. A lot of questions and comments."
Contractors mainly discussed upcoming street closures related to the Fifth and Main project.
Some Downtown Evansville residents, like Jill Marshall, found the meeting provided an opportunity for transparency and allowed them to express some concerns.
"When we're not using the main roadways, the alleyways are getting so much use. So, we're getting side streets that are more torn up," Marshall say
