SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - A recent study from the American College of Surgeons is shedding light on the growing popularity of ebikes and finds that as interest grows, so does the number of people reporting injuries.

You may have seen these bicycles on the road. They have a motor that assists with pedaling. Some have a throttle, and they can get going pretty fast. According to the study, more than 1.1 million e-bikes were purchased in 2022, and this number was expected to increase by 10% annually. The number of people injured was 20,000, with 3,000 people hospitalized.
