FRANKLIN, Tenn. ( WSMV /Gray News) - A former NFL quarterback was in a Tennessee courtroom on Tuesday to take a plea deal in his DUI case from October of last year.

A Williamson County judge accepted a guilty plea from 42-year-old Jay Cutler and his attorneys.

Cutler was arrested on Oct. 17, 2024, after he rear-ended a blue GMC with his white Dodge Ram truck on Bridge Street.

An arrest affidavit from the Franklin Police Department that day described Cutler as visibly intoxicated. It stated that he offered the other driver $2,000 not to call the police and to let him drive away.

Franklin police officers said they also found a rifle and a loaded pistol in the center console of his truck.
