Louisiana State Police detectives have arrested a man in connection with a chase and trooper-involved shooting that occurred in Orleans Parish earlier this month.

Anthony Rios-Flores, 19, was booked into Orleans Justice Center Tuesday morning on one count of aggravated flight from an officer, one count of speeding and two counts of hit and run, jail records show. His bond has not been set.

He is accused of fleeing troopers who tried to initiate a traffic stop at around 9 p.m. August 7, a pursuit that ended when he drove his 2012 Honda Fit down a Pleasure Street dead end and rammed an LSP unit as he tried to reverse out of it. A state trooper fired at him at that point, according to Sgt. Kate Stegall, and Rios-Flores fled. There were no known injuries.
