Jim Harbaugh’s Los Angeles Chargers finalized its 53-man roster on Tuesday, and three former Michigan players weren’t included.
The team placed linebacker Junior Colson on season-ending injured reserve and waived offensive lineman Karsen Barnhart and defensive lineman Christopher Hinton.
Colson, a third-round pick in 2024, recorded eight tackles during the preseason and will miss all of 2025. He also battled injuries as a rookie, missing six games.
The former two-time all-Big Ten selection was in contention for a starting job this season before suffering the injury.
Meanwhile, Hinton and Barnhart are both former undrafted free agents who spent all of 2024 on the Chargers’ practice squad. Both could join the practice squad again this season if they clear waivers.
