Topsham-area superintendent shares back to school updates, new cellphone policy

Are there any changes in student cell phone use or technology?

“There will be significant changes to the student cell phone and technology policy at both Mt. Ararat High School and Mt. Ararat Middle School this year. Both schools are implementing a new policy, JICJ: Student Use of Cell Phones and Other Technology Devices, which restricts student access to personal technology during the school day,” O’Leary wrote in an email to the Times Record. “The new policy will create a phone-free and smartwatch-free environment from the time students arrive until the end of the school day.”
