COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The South Carolina State Fiscal Accountability Authority approved the second phase of proposed renovations to Williams-Brice Stadium on Tuesday.

The group also approved the bond resolution to fund those renovations.

Tuesday’s approval is the final hurdle the University of South Carolina needed to clear before construction can begin.

Phase two will include changes to the north end of the stadium with the creation of an air-conditioned club space and more restrooms. It will also include updates to the student section and locker room as well as improvements to concessions and other back-of-house enhancements.
