DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -- A motorcyclist was transported to the hospital following a crash Tuesday night.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, a crash was reported around 7:30 p.m. in the area of Needmore Road and Payne Avenue in Harrison Township.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered an SUV traveling eastbound on Needmore Road collided with a motorcycle traveling northbound on Payne Avenue.

The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Occupants from the SUV did not appear injured.

The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff's office.
