KEOKUK, Iowa (KCRG) - According to the Coast Guard, there were no damage or injures after a barge crashed into a bridge on Tuesday.

Crews contacted the Coast Guard about the crash around 1:00 a.m. Tuesday, as the barge was headed northbound on the upper Mississippi River near Keokuk.

There were 15 cargo crates onboard at the time and five fell into the water. They have all been secured.

No other information is known at this time.
