FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/FOX24) — August 28 will mark the 25th anniversary of the murder of University of Arkansas professor, Dr. John Locke, who was killed by a gunman at Kimpel Hall.
The active shooter response on the university campus Aug. 25 stirred up memories so close to the anniversary of the death of Locke. Larry Foley is a journalism professor at the university. He was in the building the day of the shooting 25 years ago.
Foley said he still remembers that day in August 2000 vividly.
"We didn't exactly know what, I didn't really know where, but my office was in the basement of Kimpel Hall, and what went down was on the second floor," Foley said.
