Travis Kelce's dad has shared new details of the footballer's engagement to Taylor Swift.
The future father-in-law revealed how far in advance he knew of the proposal, and gushed over his son's bride-to-be.
"It's good," Ed Kelce told Australian morning television show, Today. "She's a wonderful young lady, she's very good for him and they just complement each other so well."
He said the proposal, which took place in a rose-filled garden, actually happened a few weeks ago.
"It was a couple of weeks ago that Travis, ah, that Travis got it done," Ed, 74, explained. "After a few weeks of prodding from myself and (Taylor's father) Scott Swift."
Ed added Travis, 35, had been weighing up his options for exactly how to pop the question.
"He was going to do it but wanted to find the perfect way to ask her to make it special," he revealed. "And we kept trying to tell him, 'When you do it, that's what makes it special. So don't fret on where, just get it done!'"
He said the proposal came as no surprise, given how solid Travis and 35-year-old Taylor's relationship was.
"Travis' mother and Taylor's parents, we've all expected this for a little while now," he said.
"They're just so good together, they really are, and they're just both so happy... I don't know that I've ever seen Travis happier, let me put it that way."
