WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Wayne County Schools officials are upgrading their school safety protocols.
The Wayne County Board of Education said they intend to install safe school entrances for schools across the county as part of their needs project.
Superintendent Todd Alexander said the needs project is something they do every year, highlighting and addressing potential concerns for schools across the county.
“We talked to the board tonight about doing a project with safe school entries,” Alexander said. “We had just turned in a major improvement project back in the late spring to the SBA. They approved one of our safe school projects. We’re going to try to make a submission and possibly get more approved moving forward.”
