LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va . (WSAZ) - Verdunville Elementary shut its doors for the school year after a hillside slip, leaving parents frustrated and students moving into Omar Elementary School.
Parents like Billy Reeves said, “It feels like they’re taking everything away from us.”
Another parent, Shane Spaulding said, “Some kids are bad with changes, you know my daughter is just, it’s completely overwhelmed her.”
It wasn’t on the agenda at Tuesday’s Board of Education meeting, but a room full of parents tried signing up to voice their concerns and ask questions about the future of their school.
Only one parent was allowed to speak after the superintendent said speakers must sign up 15 minutes beforehand.
