Stephen Richard (Steve) Eyler, 68, passed away gently at home in Friday Harbor, WA on August 12, 2025, with his family and two beloved greyhounds by his side.

Steve was born in Tracy, CA on September 12, 1956, to Dean and Carol (Stormes) Eyler and grew up in Oak Harbor, WA. A true Pacific Northwest adventurer, he spent half of his life on the water and much of the rest of his free time hiking the beautiful trails of Whidbey and the San Juan Islands. Steve was happiest when he was walking in nature with his wife and dogs or boating on the Salish Sea and surrounding mountain lakes. He loved sharing the bounties of his crabbing, shrimping, and clam-digging excursions with friends and neighbors, hosting what he deemed “Steve’s Seafood Extravaganza” dinner
