AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF)- South Carolina leaders will kick off their "College Application Month" that will be held at South Aiken High School.
This is an annual program to help high school students navigate and complete their college applications.
The state's Commission on Higher Education works with local school districts to facilitate "College Application Month" events for high school seniors across the state.
It's recognized for being helpful to students from under-resourced communities and backgrounds.
Last year there were more than 250 events with around 46 thousand participants.
There will be representatives from about a dozen colleges there to help the seniors with their applications.
