Freddy Brazier has revealed that he was once sectioned after suffering "manic episodes". The 20-year-old model and TV personality, who is the son of Jeff Brazier and the late Jade Goody, opened up about his mental health and addiction struggles in a snippet from the first episode of his new podcast, Load of Old Cobblers. "I've been smoking since I was 12... I've been to rehab, I've been sectioned, I've had manic episodes, I've been in cells. There's been a real journey and it's been a tough one," he divulged, noting that he'll reveal further details on the podcast. Later in the snippet, Freddy addressed his relationship with his maternal grandmother Jackiey Budden and his dad, and explained why he moved out of the family home to live with his grandmother earlier this year. "I feel like if I didn't prioritise the relationship with my mum's mum Jackiey, and I... feel like I had to be around for her because I was scared that if I wasn't, she'd kill herself," he confessed. "And I had that in my head for so long to the point where I pushed my dad away and stay there, at my nan's, for months, go on mad ones." Freddy added that Jackiey was "definitely" the person who introduced him to - and got him "hooked" on - weed. The full podcast episode will be released on 1 September. In June, Freddy announced that he was planning to go to rehab in Spain because he wanted to be "clean" in order to have happy and healthy relationships with Jeff and Jackiey. He appears to be on better terms with his father now, as he recently praised the TV star for his performance in the 101 Dalmatians stage show. Meanwhile, Jeff has reportedly dropped his legal case against Jackiey to stop her from seeing Freddy.
