The second oldest fall country fair in Ontario gets under way Thursday as Belleville Agricultural Society organizers usher in the event’s 202nd year.

Set for the old city fairgrounds in Belleville’s west end, all manner of midway amusement rides, carnival vendors, farm displays and entertainment shows await Quinte Exhibition 2025 ticket holders over four days.

The Quinte Ex, as it is better known, promises a full lineup of attractions designed to appeal to the whole family, said Jamie Chatten, president of the ag society.

“It’s a great way for families to spend their last weekend of the summer before the kids go back to school. Hopefully, we’re blessed with good weather even though we need the rain,” said Chatten in an interview with The Intelligencer on Tuesday.
