George Clooney has fallen ill while promoting his movie Jay Kelly at the 2025 Venice Film Festival .

THR is reporting that the Oscar-winning actor and filmmaker dropped out of press appearances on Wednesday (August 27) in Venice, Italy.

A source that the outlet that George “had no choice but to take the night off out of an abundance of caution in the hope that he could rebound to 100 percent by the time Jay Kelly hits the screen inside Sala Grande.”

George was seen heading back to his hotel at around 4pm and canceled an appearance at a dinner with the cast and crew of Jay Kelly .
