ATLANTA — The Atlanta Dogwood Festival, one of the city’s oldest and most popular annual events, is at risk of being canceled in 2026 unless organizers can raise $250,000 by November 1, 2025.
The free outdoor festival, held every spring in Piedmont Park, has been a longtime tradition in Atlanta for nearly 90 years. It brings together local families, artists, students, and visitors from across the region. Now, due to rising costs and reduced sponsorships, the future of the event is in doubt.
“To put it more plainly, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival will cease to exist,” organizers said in an open letter on their website.
The Dogwood Festival is produced by a nonprofit organization that says production costs have jumped in recent years. At the same time, several corporate sponsors have p
