An inquest into the death of Salford's 'Mr Big', Paul Massey , will be held, marking a significant victory for his family after a decade-long struggle. Massey was gunned down by hitman Mark Fellows with an Uzi sub-machine gun at his Clifton home in July 2015, during a brutal feud between a Salford gang known as the A-Team – who viewed Massey as a mentor and elder – and their rivals, the Anti A-Team.
Fellows is currently serving a whole-life sentence for the murder of Massey and his gangland enforcer mate, John Kinsella, three years later. Massey had received at least five 'Osman' warnings from 2009 until just weeks before his murder.
