PLATTEKILL, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Two Amsterdam residents are facing felony charges after a traffic stop on the New York State Thruway Monday. According to troopers, Jessiah Haynes, 25, and Ashley Guilder, 31, are accused of having drugs and a ghost gun in the car.
Around 11:40 a.m. on Monday, troopers initiated a traffic stop on a 2008 Jeep for a traffic violation. Upon the stop, the driver, identified as Haynes, was driving the car with a suspended license.
Police K9 Kell conducted an exterior sniff of the car and alerted troopers to the presence of narcotics. A search reportedly found approximately 149 grams of cocaine, .4 grams of crack cocaine, 13.2 grams of Suboxone and a polymer 80 .9mm semi-automatic "ghost gun."
