One of the two major American political parties is about as unpopular now as the recent controversial redesign of a popular American restaurant chain.
“The Democratic Party brand right now has the appeal with the American voter as the Cracker Barrel rebrand has with the American consumers,” CNN analyst Harry Enten said on Tuesday. “Bad, bad, bad! What are you doing? Oh my goodness gracious.”
Enten explained this growing disconnect between the party and voters with the example of voter registration tracking conducted by four swing states: Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
“Look, the Republican Party is in [its] best position at this point in the cycle since at least 2005,” Enten said.
