The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth (HSKWSP) is asking for community support to cover the medical costs for a six-week-old kitten found with a severe injury.

The kitten, named Penny, was discovered on the side of a road over the weekend. She was missing her front leg from the elbow down and had a broken bone in the remaining part of her limb. HSKWSP staff held the kitten for a mandatory stray period and provided initial care.

“Penny came to us with this severe injury, and we knew we had to give her the second chance she deserves,” said Dr. Meghan Wallace, a veterinarian at the HSKWSP. “This surgery is essential to relieve her pain and give her the chance to grow up as a happy, healthy cat.”
