SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- A man from Mission, SD, is behind bars after stealing a gun.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, in a news release, 30-year-old Marlow Poor Thunder was sentenced Wednesday to nearly four years in prison.

Court documents state on Oct. 24, 2024 Poor Thunder was driving a stolen vehicle when he was stopped by the South Dakota Highway Patrol.

He was carrying a gun, which he stole from another vehicle earlier that day. Law enforcement confiscated the firearm.
