SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - A local Springfield leader has been arrested on serious charges, according to Lane County Circuit Court records.

Mark Molina faces two counts of first-degree sexual abuse following his arrest on Tuesday. He is set to be arraigned on Aug. 27. Molina is known for operating Molina Leadership Solutions and was honored by the Springfield Chamber of Commerce with the 2020 Emerging Leader Award. His involvement in the community includes serving on the Springfield Utility Board, Budget Committee, Willamalane, and the Police Planning Task Force.

In 2022, Molina ran for city council against Victoria Doyle. Doyle won the election with 53 percent of the votes.
