SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - Springfield police officials announced Wednesday the promotion of Lt. George Crolly to deputy chief of police following a national competitive recruitment process.
Deputy Chief Crolly has dedicated over 25 years to law enforcement, all within the Springfield community. His career began with the Springfield Police Department in 1998, and he has served in several roles, including patrol officer, detective, sergeant, and lieutenant.
"Deputy Chief Crolly brings an entire career of dedicated service to the community of Springfield to his new role," said Police Chief Jami Resch. "His unwavering commitment to the department and the policing profession positions him to help lead the Springfield Police Department into its next chapter," Resch said.
