Dinosaur National Monument has thanked the public for their patience when it comes to the road construction that has happened on the Monument this summer. So far crews have rebuilt several sections of road in the tricky Mancos Shale, replaced culverts and improved drainage areas, pulverized old pavement for a smoother base, poured foundations for a new stone wall at the river viewpoint, added new accessible parking spaces, and begun work on a safer sidewalk linking the Quarry Exhibit Hall to the Fossil Discovery Trail.
