A man has died after being found injured in a Lanarkshire housing estate, with police treating the death as "suspicious" . ‌

In the early hours of Wednesday morning, officers raced to Kirkmuirhill near Lanark after reports of two injured men on Braeside Crescent . ‌

Emergency services attended at around 4.45am and a 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene . ‌

A 35-year-old man was also taken to Wishaw General Hospital for treatment , with his condition described as not life threatening.

Detectives have now launched a probe to establish the full circumstances of the incident and a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.
