RANDOLPH, MB
A meeting was held at the Randolph Garage this past week to determine whether non-Mennonites are allowed to laugh at Mennonite jokes. The issue was raised after several city folks felt guilty about sharing Unger Review articles on social media.
“I’m not sure if I should laugh at this,” said Mrs. Schmidt. “I guess I’ll let the committee decide. That’s how Mennonites make all their decisions, isn’t it? Oops, I guess I shouldn’t say that. My bad!”
The meeting went on for three or four hours, although most of the time was spent sitting at round tables and playing crokinole.
“Yeah, so basically it was just an excuse to get together and dip our sugar cubes in coffee,” said Committee Chair Abe Dyck. “We did put it to a vote, but, yeah, relax, we don’t care about stuff like that.”
